What’s an EdCamp?

You choose the topics. You create the schedule. Anyone can be a presenter or facilitator. You ask questions. You share ideas. You get ideas. You implement them at your school. Yay!

EdCamps are unconferences. The schedule is determined on the day of Edcamp by the participants. The “Rule of Two Feet” means you can vote with your feet — if something does not meet your needs, leave. Find another session to try or start a conversation with someone new.

While bringing your own technology is highly recommended, it is not required. We have found that a laptop, tablet or phone are very useful in accessing the session schedule, taking notes, and connecting with other educators. Many EdCamp topics end up being tech-related, so bringing a device is helpful in ensuring you get the most out of your experience.
